“I will never forget my first Life Vessel session. There was just peace!”
I would like to give a brief history of the illness that I suffered from as well as the differences in treatment types that I have undergone over the last seven years.
At the age of 19, I was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (“AML”). Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be as sick as I was and didn’t realize it. Cancer would now be a part of my life indelibly. My leukemia was so advanced that I didn’t have a chance for a second opinion.
I started a chemotherapy regiment immediately. It consisted of three days of chemotherapy followed by four days of cell boosting shots, then followed by another three days of chemotherapy. I was doing great the first two weeks of treatment. I didn’t see any side effects that are associated with chemo, however, that was all about to change, as would my life as I knew it. I was continually warned by my nurse that it would get ugly soon. Sure enough, soon came not long after and things got very ugly.
Over the next three weeks I lost all of my hair, everything I ate came back up, I lost my appetite, lost 47 pounds, wound up in intensive care and was put on a respirator because I couldn’t breathe on my own. I was in such a bad place in my life and my health was so deteriorated that I wanted to give up. The chemo was beating me and I was ready to lay down and let it finish me off. I thought that I was going to die and that I was never going to get any better.

I ended up fighting it out and hanging on for my life. After I got out of the hospital, I was going back for blood transfusions and numerous tests. Following the transfusions, I was given two treatment options from my oncologist, a year of chemotherapy treatments or a bone marrow transplant. Either option gave me less than 50 percent chance of surviving. The calculation given to me by my doctor was by year five, I would only have a 10% chance of still being in remission if the transplant or chemo was to work. I was told by my oncologist that even though my blood counts were improving, I had in his words, “buckets and buckets of leukemia still in my blood.”
At this time my parents decided that the chances given to me, especially since what I had just went through almost killed me, was just too large a risk. My father started to network with different people around the country to find out information on alternative therapy dealing with cancer. My dad found a few different options, and began to do research. Through this we found the Life Vessel.
I will never forget my first Life Vessel session. I wasn’t hooked up to any monitoring devices and didn’t have any IV’s going into me. There was just peace! It was so nice to just lay and relax in a comfortable enclosure while I heard peaceful music through the speakers. I woke up and couldn’t believe that I had been sleeping. I had just slept more peacefully then I could ever remember and felt more energized than I have in years.. At that moment I knew this was going to be my ticket to a healthy recovery.

Over the next year, I continued to visit my oncologist on a regular basis while undergoing treatment at the Life Vessel. Each visit I kept telling a little bit about the Life Vessel and the treatment I was now undergoing. He just continued to tell me, even after seeing great blood test results, that I would still need the bone marrow transplant. He kept on warning me that my cancer was going to come back with a vengeance. After 14 months of being in remission my oncologist finally said, “Well I guess you can’t argue with success no matter how you get there.”
Today, I live in Anaheim, California and have a business in Newport Beach. I have been cancer free for eight years and I owe my physical well-being to the Life Vessel and its treatment protocol. I was one of those patients that dedicated my recovery process to the Life Vessel and although I changed some of my nutritional habits, the Life Vessel saved my life. I still visit the Life Vessel Center of Newport Beach for a “tune-up” every once in a while and my health continues to be great. I know the Life Vessel didn’t cure my cancer, but I wouldn’t be here today without it.
